WANTED: BOOKING AGENT(S)

Due to difficulty in scheduling time to make booking calls, QUANCE ("KWAHNSS") MUSIC MINSTRIES is seeking a person or persons willing to help us schedule concerts by soloist-composer Patrick "Pat" Quance. Work from home, hours flexible. For a limited time, for every concert you help us schedule, by recommending us to a church or other organization, PAT ANSWERS (parent company of QUANCE MUSIC MINISTRIES) will, upon completion of that concert, pay you a REFERRAL BONUS of 50% of the net income from free-will offerings received at that concert. (net income will consist of all free-will offering funds received at that concert, minus all lodging, meal, and mileage expenses incurred en route from Pat's home to and from that concert site. So booking of multiple concerts in an area - like Friday night / Saturday night / Sunday morning / Sunday night, at separate locations only a couple hours apart, maximizes the trip's profit, and GIVES YOU MORE MONEY.) .

It's easy to refer potential host churches and organizations to our music minstry. Just:

1. Listen to our Original Songs Composite Demo and
Music Archives Page, to hear more samples of Pat's work for yourself. All songs there were composed by Patrick D. Quance, who owns the copyright on them all, and although sale and widespread distribution without Patrick D. Quance's written permission is prohibited, you have permission to download them, for personal listening, or as credentials, to share with churches, in order to schedule Pat for a concert.

2. Tell others about QMM (Quance Music Ministries) and this site. Once you hear the music and its powerful message - songs like "The Watchmaker" and "Come To Me" (among others), we are sure that recommending them to pastors and churches will come naturally. We do ask your help, though, because if a pastor is not already acquainted with our ministry, he/she will more likely follow up on YOUR invitation than ours, to listen to samples of the music - especially if you are a member or close acquaintance of their congregation. (Please rest assured that this is not the work of a novice, but of a fifty-year-old Christian husband, father, and veteran of the inspirational music world, one who toured eight states with a family team and 24 states with a full-time trio, and who has been writing inspirational music since 1973. Pat's education and experience include college and graduate school study in music education, plus several years as a public school music teacher, computer technician, and Christian radio announcer. A photo and background info synopsis are on our Bio Page.) Also, here's a link to a composite demo of several of Pat's original songs. You are welcome to copy and e-mail this link to others, as a sample of Pat's work.

Some tips for sharing the message of QMM with others:

IN PERSON: An actual CD/R, cassette, or mp3 recording of at least 2 songs (ideally three) from the site, to give or share, may be most effective - especially if the pastor does not need to return them. For further details, contact us.

BY PHONE:
1.
Usually, we recommend that any telephone calls to pastors be made to their OFFICE number, Tuesday through Friday, between 9:00 and 11:30 A.M., or between 1:00 and 4:30 P.M. (pastor's local time), as, of course, many pastors have several responsibilities, and often have no day off, unless they take one on a Monday.
2. In our experience, messages left tend to be messages ignored. If a pastor is busy, it's best to find out when he's likely to be free, and call back then. Your best chance of speaking live on the phone with a pastor, and not with voicemail, is during the morning hours.
3. Pat Quance's goal is to ENCOURAGE pastors and their congregations - NOT to interfere with
their work. With this in mind, :
3a. Please do not interrupt the pastor during family time at home, nor after office hours. Thank You!
3b. Please ensure that the pastor is not in the middle of funeral prep, counseling, a board meeting, etc. A suggested greeting might be, "Good morning, Pastor. Thank you for taking my call. Are you in the middle of a meeting or counseling?" (If so, please determine a good time to call back, and call then. Thank the pastor, and hang up) If the pastor has a moment, you might continue, "If you have a pen handy, I'd like to recommend a Christian musician whose music has really ministered to me." (pastor may need a moment to grab pen and paper.) His name is Pat Quance, spelled "Q-u-a-n (as in now)-c (as in Charlie) - e, and contact information and samples of his work are on his web site, at www.qmmhome.com. The "qmm" stands for "Quance music Ministries." He is willing to travel on a FREE-WILL OFFERING basis, and I believe his music would encourage you and your church."
3c
. Please be brief. Much of what needs to be said can be said in a minute or less. For further information and samples of the music, the pastor can access our Web site.
If you forget to mention anything else, please remember to give the pastor this web site address.

BY LETTER: Whatever you are willing to send through the mail, in terms of a CD or cassette, is above and beyond the call, and may get some response, but it has been our experience that generally, pastors do not take time to look at "demos", and often return them, unopened, without so much as a cover letter - even some given out in person!. (We have even found that some Christian radio stations will not even take time to listen to a demo recording, no matter HOW good, unless the musician ALREADY HAS A CONTRACT with a recording company!) There are, of course, exceptions. But we want this process to be as easy for everyone - especially YOU - as possible. Becoming a shipping department is not what we had in mind for you, and although we would normally be glad to reimburse a postal bill here and there, the potential cost of doing so for a virtually world-wide network of contacts is prohibitive, and makes it necessary, for now, to say that we cannot do that, in order to be fair to all. What we WOULD recommend is mentioning the Web site, www.patsvo.com, in a letter, and letting the party look it up themselves, to explore the music there at their leisure.

BY E-MAIL:You are welcome and encouraged to send our www.patsvo.com Web site link to others, including pastors, but please be careful to avoid doing so in such volume that it might be considered "spam". A recommended rule of thumb is: if you know the recipient well enough that they are likely to take your recommendation seriously, a personal e-mail message may be in order.

To send this link via e-mail:

Click on the following Web site address, and drag your mouse over it, to highlight it: www.patsvo.com, then:

  1. RIGHT-click the mouse on the highlighted website address.
  2. On the menu that appears, select "copy" (LEFT-click the word "copy")
  3. Open an e-mail message. Best NOT to address it until ready to send.
  4. LEFT-click on the main body of the message. A blinking cursor should appear.
  5. RIGHT-click the mouse. On the menu that appears, select "paste" (LEFT-click the word "paste).
  6. Use the mouse to click any places, before or after the copied "link", where you want to type more of your message.
  7. Don't forget to include a subject and recipient! Click "send". The recipient can go directly to our site, by clicking the link.

To send the same message to others, recall it from your e-mail program's "sent messages" folder, select "forward," change the "To" box, to show the NEW recipient's address, delete any reference to the old recipient in the message, and click "send."

3. FOLLOW-UP: WHATEVER CONTACT METHOD IS USED, YOUR KIND, PERSONAL FOLLOW-UP, TO SAY, "WHAT DID YOU THINK OF PAT QUANCE'S MUSIC?" CAN BE MOST EFFECTIVE. IF THE CHURCH OR ORGANIZATION WANTS TO GO AHEAD AND SCHEDULE A CONCERT, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEY VERIFY THAT YOU ARE THE PERSON WHO REFERRED THEM, AND THAT THEY - OR YOU - SEND US YOUR FULL NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION (PHONE NUMBER DURING BUSINESS HOURS, ADDRESS TO SEND THE REFERRAL BONUS CHECK TO, E-MAIL ADDRESS, ETC. - THE MORE, THE BETTER.), SO WE CAN SEE THAT YOU GET PROMPTLY AND PROPERLY REIMBURSED. YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION WILL NOT BE SHARED WITH ANYONE ELSE - ESPECIALLY ANY MAILING LISTS - NOR WILL YOU BE CONTACTED BY QMM OR PAT ANSWERS, EXCEPT TO VERIFY THAT YOU RECEIVED YOUR BONUS CHECK, AND TO ADDRESS ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE ASKED.

PLEASE ALSO BE AWARE:

Patrick D. Quance, of QUANCE MUSIC MINSTRIES, reserves the following rights:

  • To end this offer, without notice, anytime after December 31, 2012; and
